As previously announced, the new album “The Sign” is coming out today. It goes back to the style of “Second-Hand Days”, but also includes some classic rock songs and ballads.

“The Sign” contains 12 songs on its main release. An extended edition includes 7 bonus tracks on a second disc called the “Nothing At All EP”.

It took only a few weeks to record and release “The Black Heart Sessions”, the follow-up to “Piranha” and the first sessions album produced by The Screens. The Southern Wire Ends re-release of that album is coming out today, marking the last work in this series of re-releases.

“The Black Heart Sessions” include epic songs like “Black Heart Machine” and “One For Me”, shorter rock tracks like “Last Train”, electronic experiments like “Lost In Transmissions” and the first song containing instrumental parts written by Benni: “Home”.

Less poppier, but full of ideas and musical experiments: that are the key properties of the album “Piranha”, originally written and published in 2008 and re-relased today.

“Piranha” contains its single “Road To Chennai” and more songs like “Morning Fog Of Glasgow”, “Girl In An Alcove” and “Capital Collateral”. Vrankey can be heard on vocals the first time on “Other side” (lead vocals) and “Hijack My Life” (backing vocals).

“Second-Hand Days” is another re-release of Southern Wire Ends, coming out today. The tracks of this album were recorded and originally released in 2008.

“Second-Hand Days” contains many rock songs with a spherical production, like the single “White Man In The Snow”, for example. Furthermore it includes a trilogy, consisting of the songs “Join Me As I Sing”, “Once Again Without Subtitles For The Hearing-Impaired” and “Fall Asleep Behind The Wheel”.

Before “I’m Just Someone Who Looks A Bit Like Me” has been released, Vrankey und Benni had published 6 other albums and 1 EP. “A Screenplay Of The Last 5 Years” gives its listeners an overview of these releases and their two immediate successors. It contains re-recordings of tracks chosen from all these albums released between 2003 and 2008 and, additionally, two new songs: “Pioneers Of Paranoia” and “Five Years”.

So “A Screenplay Of The Last 5 Years” contains new version of “Hurricane Energy”, “World War”, “Please (Make Me Believe In You)”, “Monday Morning Star”, “Trees” and “Try To Escape”, for example. You can download legal copies of all tracks here at last.fm.

One day after the re-release of “I’m Just Someone Who Looks A Bit Like Me” there’s another record of Southern Wire Ends coming out again: the follow-up and more electro-influenced album “It’s Not”, previously released as “It’s Not (The Screens)”.
